At FBC Mortgage Stadium, the UCF Knights showcased their offensive capabilities despite falling short to the Mountaineers. The home team's passing game was particularly effective, with a completion percentage of 69 and an average of over seven yards per attempt, accumulating a total of 274 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air. The longest pass completed was for 34 yards, which also resulted in a touchdown.

The rushing offense added to the Knights' yardage with an impressive average of nearly six yards per carry, totaling 189 rushing yards. They managed one rushing touchdown from within eight yards out and secured eleven first downs on the ground alone.

The UCF Knights were perfect in red zone efficiency; they capitalized on all three opportunities presented to them. Their third-down efficiency was notable as well, converting nine out of twelve attempts into first downs or touchdowns.

On special teams, while there were no blocked punts or punt returns for touchdowns to report for either team, it is worth noting that UCF had only one punt attempt which went for 36 yards.

Penalties played a role but did not reach extreme levels; UCF incurred six penalties amounting to fifty-six penalty yards throughout the game.

Defensively, while no interceptions were recorded by either side's defense during this contest, UCF did manage two forced fumbles and recovered one themselves. They also registered one sack against their opponents during playtime.
