UCF Knights' Defensive Wall Blocks Gamecocks at Acrisure Bounce House

First Quarter

In the opening quarter, both the University of Central Florida Knights and Jacksonville State Gamecocks struggled to find their rhythm, resulting in a scoreless period. The Knights' defense was particularly noteworthy, with Rodney Lora and Horace Lockett each recording a sack. This defensive prowess set the tone for what would become a battle of attrition.

Second Quarter

The second quarter mirrored the first as neither team managed to put points on the board. UCF's Tayven Jackson showcased his passing skills with 17 completions out of 24 attempts, accumulating 282 yards by game's end. Despite these efforts, both teams entered halftime without breaking the deadlock.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw some action as both teams finally got on the scoreboard with field goals. Anthony Venneri contributed significantly for UCF by making one out of two field goal attempts from 24 yards out. Meanwhile, Jacksonville State responded with their own field goal to keep things level heading into the final period.

Fourth Quarter

The fourth quarter was where UCF truly shined, scoring two touchdowns to secure a victory over JSU. DJ Black caught one of these touchdowns from Jackson's precise throw while Dylan Wade added another touchdown reception from an impressive 39-yard pass play. Jayden Bellamy's interception further solidified UCF’s defensive dominance during this critical phase.

Overall, it was an intense matchup that ended in favor of UCF at 17-10 against JSU at Acrisure Bounce House before an enthusiastic crowd numbering over forty-three thousand attendees.
