First Quarter

The game began with UCF setting an aggressive tone. The Knights scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, establishing a 14-point lead while keeping WVU scoreless. Jaden Nixon was instrumental with his rushing ability, contributing significantly to the early lead.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, WVU managed to put points on the board with a touchdown. However, UCF's defense remained resilient. Notably, Nyjalik Kelly made impactful plays by recording a sack and forcing a fumble that kept momentum on UCF's side.

Third Quarter

The third quarter was dominated by UCF as they added three more touchdowns to their tally. Tayven Jackson led an efficient passing attack that resulted in two touchdown passes during this period. Chris Domercant emerged as a key target for Jackson, catching one of these crucial passes for a long gain.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter of play, both teams added points to their scoresheet; however, it was Noe Ruelas who sealed WVU's fate with his perfect field goal execution from 51 yards out for UCF. The defense continued its strong performance by limiting WVU’s opportunities and securing another forced fumble recovery courtesy of Keli Lawson.

Overall, this matchup highlighted several game-changing plays from both sides but ultimately underscored why UCF came out victorious against WVU—thanks largely due to their defensive efforts and strategic offensive execution throughout all quarters of play.
