Clash at Save Mart Center: Fresno State Bulldogs Host Air Force Falcons in Women's Basketball Showdown

As the Fresno State Bulldogs prepare to host the Air Force Falcons at the Save Mart Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a riveting Women's Basketball game. The Bulldogs have been showing a strong performance on their home court, and this upcoming game is expected to add another chapter to their impressive season.

Air Force Falcons VS Fresno State Bulldogs

In their last outing on December 16th against Sacramento State Hornets, the Bulldogs dominated with a decisive 68-47 victory. Their offense was firing on all cylinders as they shot 39 percent from the field and an impressive 77 percent from the free-throw line. The team also showcased its rebounding prowess by out-rebounding their opponents 37 to 33, which included grabbing an outstanding number of offensive rebounds that led to second-chance points.

The defensive effort by FRES cannot be overlooked either; they managed six steals and capitalized on turnovers by scoring 21 points off them. This kind of defensive pressure will be crucial when facing AFA, who will undoubtedly come prepared for battle.

The Air Force Falcons should not be underestimated though. They bring their own set of skills to the court that could pose challenges for FRES. However, based on recent performances and statistics, it seems likely that Fresno State’s offensive depth and defensive tenacity might prove too much for AFA.

Looking back at FRES's performance against Cal Poly Mustangs earlier this month reveals some areas of concern – particularly in defense where they allowed 84 points. But every game is a learning opportunity, and it's safe to assume that adjustments have been made in practice sessions following that loss.

Fresno State has shown resilience throughout this season; even when faced with tough competition like Cal State Fullerton Titans where both teams scored heavily but FRES fell short by nine points in a high-scoring affair ending at 77-68 in favor of CSF.

With these past games as indicators, one can expect Fresno State Bulldogs' players are readying themselves for another chance to demonstrate why they're contenders in women’s college basketball – especially when playing under the lights of Save Mart Center before their home crowd.

Fans eager for action can mark their calendars for December 30th at 2:00 PM PST when these two teams face off in Fresno. While no broadcast networks have been announced yet, supporters should stay tuned for updates on how they can catch live coverage of what promises to be an exciting matchup between FRES and AFA.
