Fresno State Bulldogs Host Colorado State Rams at Save Mart Center in Women's Basketball Showdown

As the Fresno State Bulldogs prepare to welcome the Colorado State Rams to the Save Mart Center for their upcoming women's basketball game, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Bulldogs have shown a mix of resilience and vulnerability in their recent outings, which sets up an intriguing matchup against the Rams.

Fresno State Bulldogs VS Colorado State Rams

In their last game on December 20th against Arizona State Sun Devils, Fresno State put up a valiant effort but fell short by four points, finishing with a score of 76-80. Despite this loss, there were positive takeaways; notably, they shot an impressive 48 percent from beyond the arc and maintained a free throw accuracy of 100 percent. However, turnovers were a concern as they gave up possession 16 times.

Earlier on December 16th at their home court – the same venue where they will face CSU – Fresno State secured a victory over Sacramento State Hornets with a scoreline of 68-47. Their defense was particularly effective that day as they forced 21 turnovers and capitalized by scoring 21 points off those opportunities. This defensive tenacity could be pivotal in their upcoming game.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for Fresno; during an away game on December 9th against Cal Poly Mustangs, they suffered defensively allowing an astounding number of points in paint (48) and ultimately losing with a score of 59-84. The Bulldogs will need to tighten up their interior defense if they hope to contain CSU's offense.

The key for Fresno lies in consistency across quarters and reducing turnovers while maintaining strong defensive pressure like they did against Sacramento State. If they can replicate that performance and keep control of the ball better than in past games, there is every chance that victory could be within reach.

Fans should mark their calendars for January 10th when these two teams clash at Save Mart Center at 6:00 PM local time (PST). With no broadcast networks mentioned for coverage yet available fans are encouraged to check local listings or attend the game live to catch all the action firsthand.
