UAB Blazers VS UTSA Roadrunners

The UAB Blazers entered the Alamodome with determination but faced a formidable opponent in the UTSA Roadrunners. Despite their efforts, they could not overcome the offensive might of UTSA. The Blazers accumulated a total of 364 yards during the game, with their ground attack contributing 131 yards and two touchdowns, including an impressive longest run that resulted in a 25-yard touchdown.

The passing game for UAB saw them complete 22 out of 35 attempts for a total of 233 yards. However, they were unable to connect for any touchdowns through the air and suffered two interceptions. Their efficiency within scoring range was notable as they capitalized on all three red zone opportunities presented to them.

Penalties played a significant role for UAB as they incurred eleven penalties amounting to 85 yards lost. This setback hindered their momentum throughout various stages of the contest. On special teams, UAB's punting unit managed an average net yardage of 45 per punt over three attempts with one sailing its longest distance to land at fifty-four yards.

Defensively, UAB managed to sack UTSA's quarterback once and recorded one interception during playtime but ultimately struggled to contain UTSA's offense which put up forty-one points against them.

On the other side, UTSA showcased strong offensive capabilities throughout each quarter except for outscoring UAB by only three points in second quarter playtime where both teams showed defensive resilience. The Roadrunners' ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities was evident as they led from start and never relinquished their lead.
