UAB Blazers Ignite Legion Field with Victory Over Rice Owls in Football Showdown
The University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers now stand with a record of 1-0 after a commanding performance against the Rice Owls, ending the game at Legion Field with a score of 35-20. The Owls' record shifts to 0-1 as they were unable to match the intensity brought by their opponents.
The UAB Blazers showcased an impressive offensive display, accumulating a total of 405 yards throughout the game. The passing attack was particularly effective, contributing 285 yards to this tally. The quarterback's arm was on full display as he completed 14 out of 26 attempts, throwing for three touchdowns and achieving an impressive passer rating of approximately 169.
